Vasilis Bourantas is an established commercial film director. He studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business and Film Directing at the New York Film Academy in New York.

He began his career as a Creative Director at advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Cream, and Frank.

As a director, he has helmed commercials in Greece and internationally for clients including VW, Amstel, Cosmote, Vodafone, Betano, and McDonald’s, among others. His work has been recognized both locally and internationally, earning awards at the Ermis Awards, the New York Festivals, and the Epica Awards, where he received one of the top honours, the Gold Epica. His films are regularly featured in leading international advertising publications such as Shots and Lürzer’s Archive.

His first short film, The Boy Who Fell To Earth, launched its international festival journey at the Cannes Short Film Corner during the 79th Festival de Cannes in 2026.
